私たちは塩縮ナイロンをデザインに採用しています。世界中に広がるGorp（ゴアプロ）の影響に軽く敬意を表しつつ、SYUMANはこの素材をややアイロニカルなアプローチで提案します。ナイロン繊維はまず特殊な化学処理により膨潤され、その後収縮されるため、高密度で隙間のない質感を実現しています。このプロセスにより、通常のナイロンに比べて強度が飛躍的に向上しながらも、日本の和紙を彷彿とさせる独特のドライな手触りと自然なシワ感が生まれます。

ナイロンの持つ軽さ、耐久性、防水性という本来の利点は損なわずに、さらに独特のテクスチャー、張り、弾力を加えることで、視覚的にも触覚的にも新鮮な印象を演出しています。テクスチャーと手触りにはあえて昔ながらのベーシックな感覚を選び、2025年にあえて再提案しています。

加えて、袖には簡単に取り外し可能なモジュール式デザインを採用。傘を掛けるためのサイドタブなど、実用性に富んだ要素も盛り込み、デザイン全体にわたり使いやすさを追求しています。

We use shrink-resistant nylon in our design. With a nod to the widespread influence of Gorp in the world, SYUMAN presents this material with a slightly ironic touch. The nylon fibers are first swollen using a special chemical treatment and then shrunk, resulting in a high-density, tightly packed texture. This process significantly enhances the strength compared to regular nylon while creating a unique dry touch and natural wrinkling reminiscent of Japanese paper.

Maintaining the inherent advantages of nylon such as lightness, durability, and water resistance, the treatment also adds a distinctive texture, firmness, and resilience, giving a fresh impression both visually and to the touch. We intentionally chose an old-basic feel in texture and touch, reintroducing it deliberately in 2025.

Additionally, the sleeves feature a modular design allowing for easy removal. Practical elements are also integrated, such as tabs on the sides for hanging umbrellas, emphasizing thoughtful functionality throughout the design.
